Even people who claim to hate squash will love this. Almost sweet enough to be dessert, I may never eat butternut squash another way again.
Ingredients:
1 Butternut squash, seeded, peeled and sliced into 1/2-inch thick slices
2 Granny Smith apples, cored, peeled and sliced thinly
1/4 to 1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. margarine, softened
3 tsp. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
Instructions:
- Place squash slices into a 8-9 inch square pan.
- Place apple slices on top of squash.
- Mix remaining ingredients. Place spoonfuls over squash apple mix.
- Cook at 350F for 50-60 minutes.
